The Official......No

For everyone who's wondering about La Caravana, I finally heard back today that they have selected other volunteers for the time being. Mauro said they need Portuguese-speaking truck drivers, and I definitely don't fit that job description;). I'm not disappointed because my urgent need to escape has dissipated significantly. I'm looking at other, shorter opportunities. As always, I'm all ears for suggestions. My basic criteria are environmentalism, social justice, solidarity, and sustainable community development. And by short term, I mean a month or so. I may also explore avenues on raising money for La Caravana here in the States. Not sure.
